NEW Masterplanning has been appointed by Bath and North East Somerset District Council to help prepare Regeneration Delivery Plans for the three market towns in the district (Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Radstock).

NEW Masterplanning will prepare strategic design frameworks for the three centres, informed by a comprehensive urban design appraisal of each town and an assessment of their development capacity.

Hamilton Baillie Associates join our team to provide specialist input in the preparation of public realm and movement strategies for each centre, working closely with us and the council's appointed transport specialists to develop and test proposals.
We will be working closely with the council, stakeholders and the local communities to develop a comprehensive and succinct vision for the towns and establish a set of overarching principles for future development.

A key component of our commission will be the preparation of a more detailed masterplan for The Centre, Riverside and The Town Hall site in Keynsham town centre. We will be working the council's property team and appointed consultants to develop and test options for the redevelopment of this central site. The final masterplan will be used as a development brief to facilitate development and assist in the appointment of a potential development partner.

The final Regeneration Delivery Plans will form an integral part of the Local Development Framework, underpinning the Core Strategy. It is anticipate that preferred option consultation will take place in the autumn in accordance with the approved LDF timescales.
