Planning application for land at Fontwell
NEW masterplanning were appointed by Dandara to undertake a design review of their proposals for land at Fontwell, located on the southern boundary of the South Downs National Park and adjacent to Fontwell Park Racecourse.
NEW worked closely with the design and technical teams in preparing a revised layout for the construction of up to 400 new homes and 500 sq m of retail and social and community facilities. Design workshops were held with officers at Arun District Council during the design review process. NEW led the production of a design code, which drew reference from our built character analysis of the local area, to inform the revised design approach. NEW also produced the design and access statement, which has now been submitted to Arun District Council as part of the reserved matters application for the site.
