NEW Masterplanning is coordinating the design submission from St Modwen for this significant regeneration site in Taunton town centre. Geraint and Andy led the RTPI award-winning Taunton Vision Urban Design Framework (UDF)which was completed in 2004. Project Taunton was set up to implement the key development opportunities identified in the UDF, including the redevelopment of Firepool (the former cattle market) as a mixed-use, office-led, extension to the town centre. |
St Modwen is one of three companies shortlisted to become Project Taunton's development partner for the site. Our scheme would deliver more than 500,000sqft of office space with an Enterprise Centre, 500 apartments and town houses, retail and leisure space as well as town centre foodstore and 50-bed hotel. A major new civic landmark is proposed with a public restaurant at the top of a 16 storey tower. |
