A new neighbourhood shaped by its woodland setting.
NEW masterplanning was appointed by the Ashfield Estate, working in collaboration with The Princes Foundation, alongside Wyatt Homes, CG Fry & Son and Morrish Homes, to prepare a masterplan and outline planning application for a sustainable urban extension at North Baddesley, Hampshire. The application was submitted in early 2016 and subsequently approved by the planning committee.
The proposals deliver up to 300 new homes within a landscape-led framework that responds to the site’s distinctive character and woodland setting. Drawing inspiration from existing landscape features, surrounding woodlands and the rural qualities of nearby lanes, the masterplan establishes a strong sense of place through a central village green, employment opportunities and an interconnected movement network linking existing communities with the wider countryside.

Following the grant of outline consent, NEW masterplanning has been retained by the consortium to support delivery through detailed public realm, play and planting strategies. This ongoing work provides cohesion across the development, shaping green streets, accessible public spaces and a diverse network of green areas, including allotments and woodland play, designed for use by both new and existing communities.
