Plans for a new neighbourhood extension to Salisbury have been shared with the local community following a successful public exhibition attended by more than 300 people.

The exhibition followed two stakeholder engagement workshops, where local representatives and key stakeholders provided feedback to help inform and shape the emerging proposals.

The proposed development aims to deliver a high-quality, well-designed extension to Salisbury, creating a sustainable and attractive new community with a range of benefits for local residents.

Key features of the proposals include:

  • Approximately 310 new homes, offering a mix of sizes and tenures to help meet local housing needs

  • 40% affordable housing provision

  • A new nursery to support local families

  • Potential for a restaurant, café, or other small-scale commercial spaces

  • Provision of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG)

  • New tree planting and enhanced landscaping across the site

  • Extensive public open space, with opportunities for play areas and potential allotments

  • A layout designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, with safe and attractive walking and cycling routes

  • The masterplan has been prepared by New Masterplanning, appointed by Wyatt Homes to lead the design development and preparation of the planning application, which is expected to follow later this year.
